The technical readiness of 15 grain vessels to leave Ukrainian seaports has been confirmed

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine confirms the technical readiness of 15 ships with agricultural products to leave Ukrainian seaports within the framework of the Istanbul Agreement, while two more are completing preparations for navigation.

After the departure of these ships from the seaports, two-way export traffic will be launched, including ships for loading agricultural products will be admitted to the ports, said First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi.

According to his data, the ships prepared for departure are aimed primarily at the transportation of grain crops - corn, wheat, barley. It is also planned to transport oilseeds and agricultural processing products.

Vysotsky clarified that each vessel is capable of accommodating 10,000 to 60,000 tons of agricultural products.

He also recalled that on August 1, the Razoni ship under the flag of Sierra Leone with 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn left Odesa port, becoming the first ship to leave the Ukrainian Black Sea port during the Russian invasion.

"Corn is exported to North Africa. Within the framework of the monitoring of our four-way Joint Coordination Center established in Istanbul, first of all we are talking about passage to the Bosphorus, then - a free trajectory according to the classic routes of the relevant commercial vessels," Vysotsky clarified.
