Law of Ukraine "On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine"
Law of Ukraine No. 2697-IX "On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine" was signed by the President of Ukraine and will enter into force on January 1, 2023
We would like to remind you that the Customs Tariff of Ukraine has been brought into line with updated international standards. With the entry into force of the new Customs tariff of Ukraine, there will be:
the product nomenclature of Ukraine was brought into compliance with the requirements of the modern seventh edition of the Harmonized System of Description and Coding of Goods, version 2022, to fulfill the international obligations undertaken by Ukraine within the framework of the International Convention on the Harmonized System of Description and Coding of Goods;
the customs statistical system of Ukraine was adapted to international methods, customs standards of classification and harmonization of foreign trade documentation;
discrepancies in the versions of the Ukrainian classification systems of goods of foreign economic activity of Ukraine and trade partner countries have been eliminated;
the procedure for customs clearance of goods during foreign trade transactions has been simplified.
At the same time, there is no change in the rates of import duty on goods, but only a change in the classification of individual goods in accordance with the UCT of the EZ.
All this will certainly contribute to:
reduction of time spent on customs clearance of goods, associated with the need to re-description, classification and coding of goods during their transfer from one system to another in the process of international trade;
increase in revenues to the State Budget of Ukraine in connection with the revival and development of international trade in goods.
