According to the information of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", as of November 23, queues of freight cars at border crossings increased by 15% compared to the figure at the end of October this year - up to 19,100 units. In mid-October, about 15,000 wagons were expected to be handed over at the border crossings.
"The queue was affected by the reorientation of wagons due to the uncertain operation of the grain corridor. In addition, the biggest accumulation is currently observed in the direction of Batyovo station, where empty Russian wagons interfere with the reception of Ukrainian cargo on the Hungarian side," the message says.
On November 23, the estimated average waiting time for wagons was 15 days, UZ notes. In November fthe active average daily number of wagons transferred through railway junctions increased by 85 units compared to October 2022.
