On the Ukrainian-Polish border, the temporary infrastructure of the new crossing point "Nyzhankovichi-Malhovice" has been put into operation. According to TTS, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mustafa Nayem, announced this. This is another object built in wartime conditions.

The total cost of construction of the checkpoint, which will be completed by the end of this year, is 109 million zlotys, which will be paid by the Polish side.

In addition, Ukrainian road workers repaired the T-14-18 Nyzhankovychi-Drohobych-Stry highway, which leads to this checkpoint.

In particular, additional traffic lanes, metal fencing, external lighting and traffic lights, barriers, road signs and markings have been arranged on the road section to the new checkpoint. The cost of road works is UAH 29.57 million.

"The agreement on the start of the construction of the checkpoint "Nyzhankovychi-Malhovice" was reached in August, and in six months, thanks to the efforts of the workers of the Recovery Agency, as well as with the support of Polish colleagues, today the carriers already have the opportunity to significantly simplify and reduce the cost of logistics in this important direction," he noted Hiring

Registration and passing of empty trucks in both directions has already started. And later, upon completion of the crossing point, it will be open to all types of motor vehicles.

The checkpoint "Nyzhankovychi-Malkhovice" is designed for international movement of motor vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tons and provides for joint control by Ukrainian and Polish customs and border guards.

"In the conditions of war, this is a particularly important transport direction for Ukraine, given the blocking of maritime communication by the aggressor state," added the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure.

Arrangement of checkpoints is part of the "Open Border" project.
