The load of Ukrainian ports within the framework of the "grain initiative" does not exceed 35%
The Administration of Seaports of Ukraine reported that the workload of the ports of Ukraine within the framework of the "grain initiative" does not exceed 30-35%.
"Now we are observing a reduction in the queue from 150 ships to 90 for entry and exit. Of course, this indicator of "reduction in the queue" is the result of the synergy of business and the state, but it cannot satisfy the need of ports and terminals, which is about 40 ships per day", - it is said in the message.
The main problem of the formation of a queue of ships remains the destructive position of the Russian Federation in passing inspections in the Joint Coordination Center. The Russian side continues to systematically and unjustifiably slow down the inspection of vessels and their registration for participation in the "grain initiative". An average of 5-6 inspections out of 10 scheduled are carried out every day.
Thus, in March, it was approved by all parties of the SCC to carry out 303 inspections, but only 168 took place.
"All this leads to a week-long or even a month-long idleness of ships in the territorial waters of Turkey. As a result, the workload of Ukrainian ports has fallen to 30-35%, almost 15 million tons of food cargo has been under-exported, cargo owners and Ukrainian farmers suffer significant losses, and the needy countries of the world do not receive urgently needed Ukrainian grain on time," the AMPU concluded.
