Moldova has completed the formation of proposals to reduce tariffs for railway transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products through its territory. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova Volodymyr Bolya during another online meeting with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on June 15.
As V. Bolya noted, the amount of the specified tariff will depend on the guaranteed volume of transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products. Next week, these proposals should be submitted to the Ukrainian side for study.
Also, the Moldovan minister emphasized that Moldova is interested in the increase of the total volume of the specified transportation, but at the same time the volume of road transportation is reduced.
"This is possible only in the event of a significant increase in transportation by the Moldovan railway. This corresponds to the interests of both countries: the Moldovan railway and market participants," he summarized.
