During the 13.09.2023 meeting of the Export Office at JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" the issue of mandatory approval by the owners of the forwarding of their wagons was raised.
In the corresponding letter of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" it is noted: "Starting from 07.09.2023, upon receipt of an application for forwarding from the sender/recipient or forwarder (by proxy), the preparation and signing of the order shall be carried out in the presence of written consent to such forwarding from the owners of the wagons (operator/lessee ), which are listed in the database of the ABD PV".
During the meeting of the Export Office at the UZ, business representatives offered to review the company's decision.
After exchanging opinions on the raised issue with all interested parties, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Valery Tkachev singled out two possible options:
• companies that wish to monitor their wagons can do so for a separate fee (we are primarily talking about owners of a large fleet of rolling stock);
• wagon owners in the automated system put a checkmark to confirm that the forwarding of rolling stock during this period does not require their consent. This mark will be valid for a long period (for example, a year).
Currently, the employees of Ukrzaliznytsia are waiting for feedback from the business with proposals for a final solution to the situation.
