In second place - railway (33.73 million tons), in third place - road transport (12 million tons).

In total, in 2022, Ukraine exported almost 99.8 million tons of goods and imported more than 30.34 million tons of goods.

The value of exports amounted to almost 44.2 billion dollars, and the value of imports - more than 54.5 billion dollars.

More than 30 million tons of imported goods were delivered to Ukraine in total last year, almost 11 million tons of them - by trucks. In second place in terms of the volume of imports brought into the country is railway (9.89 million tons), and in third place is sea transport (7.16 million tons).

"The key factors in the normalization of trade logistics in 2022 were: the conclusion of the "grain initiative" with the UN and Turkey, which allowed to unblock the ports of Great Odesa; the signing of the Agreement on the Liberalization of Road Freight Transportation with the EU; the development of border infrastructure, in particular, the increase in the capacity of existing road and railway lines checkpoints, as well as the opening of new ones; increasing cargo handling in the ports of the Danube port cluster," the department noted.
