Canada imposed sanctions on the Belarusian railway

 

The Canadian government has expanded the list of sanctions by adding a number of Belarusian enterprises and citizens to it, including the Belarusian railway and its management, the Canadian Foreign Ministry said.

Among the republic's enterprises, the list of sanctions includes the Belarusian Railways, the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, KB Radar, AGAT - control systems, the Precision Electromechanics Plant and a number of other enterprises, most of which are related to the production of military equipment and equipment, as well as dual-use products. The head of the Belarusian railway Volodymyr Morozov and the first deputy minister of transport of the republic Oleksiy Liakhnovich were also sanctioned. Currently, the Canadian sanctions list includes 55 Belarusian enterprises and organizations and 181 Belarusian citizens.

Today, Canada is the first country to impose sanctions on the Belarusian railway.
