Czech CD Cargo transported the first train with grain from Ukraine

The Czech freight railway operator CD Cargo transported the first train with grain from Ukraine to the German port of Brake. From there, the first batch of ships will go to Egypt.
The first train carried about 1,800 tons of corn, which was loaded into wagons at Dobra near Cierna nad Tisza.
It is noted that due to the Russian invasion, Ukraine cannot export grain via traditional routes through the Black Sea ports. Therefore, it was decided to send part of the supply by rail through Europe.
"Representatives of CD Cargo are negotiating with the Ukrainian side about various transport routes. Today, mainly through Polish and German ports, southern routes are also offered through ports in the Adriatic Sea," Tomasz Toth, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CD Cargo, said.
It is also reported that the advantage of CD Cargo is that the railway operator has a license to operate in all neighboring countries.
