The fleet of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company is planned to increase to 225 barges
In the medium term, the number of barges that will work in the fleet of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company is planned to increase to 220-225 units.
Also, in the short- or medium-term perspective, the management of the enterprise plans to complete the program of equipping the UDP fleet with a data monitoring system, and in addition, to launch an online fleet dispatching system with the ability to make management decisions in the event of the vessel's deviation from the voyage task.
The intention to launch our own stevedore line remains an unchanging task, active work on which is currently ongoing.
It will be recalled that in July, in an interview with TTS, T.V. at. Dmytro Moskalenko, general director of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, said that now the UDP operates 200 barges. He also said that there is a vision for UDP to be not only a Danube cargo carrier, but also a stevedore company. In particular, it is planned to install ship loading machines that will load from the pier to the ship. Approximate volumes of transshipment - 30-40 thousand tons per month.
