In March 2023, the state enterprise "Izmail Sea Trade Port" processed 721.5 thousand tons of cargo.
"The largest annual volume of cargo transshipment reached the mark of 7.3 million tons in 1989. The monthly average was 585,000 tons, and the highest monthly figure was reached in May of that year, when 712,000 tons were transshipped. That is, in March of this year, we exceeded this record. And this is on the condition that now the staff of SE "IZM MTP" is half as small (then the number of Izmail port workers was about 2,860, now the SE "IZM MTP" has 1,424 employees) ", the state-owned enterprise noted.
88 sea vessels (365.3 thousand tons of cargo) were also processed.
Transshipment of export cargo amounted to 506.9 thousand tons, import cargo - 209 thousand tons.
