MIU: all trucks cross the border only through the E queue
The Electronic Border Crossing Queue (E-queue) has been activated at 16 checkpoints. Logist.Today learned about this from the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU).
As of the morning of May 15, the biggest electronic queue is at the "Rava-Ruska - Grebinne" PE - more than 2,800 trucks. Also, more than 2,000 vehicles are waiting online to cross the border through the checkpoints "Krakowec - Korchova" and "Yagodin - Dorogusk". All trucks cross the border only according to the entry in the electronic queue. In general, more than 12,000 trucks are waiting to cross the border in the online queue.
"From the beginning of the launch of the service, we had checkpoints where the traffic in the electronic queue started immediately, and those where it was worth waiting for the end of the live queue that had accumulated earlier. Over the weekend, the live queue ended at Rava-Ruska and Krakivka, so all trucks cross the border only in accordance with the electronic system. During the week of the service, 9,500 trucks left Ukraine only through the E-queue, and almost 15,000 drivers registered in the system."
Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure
Logist.Today reminds that since the beginning of the E-queue pilot project (from December last year until May 15 of this year), 96,078 trucks crossed the border electronically at the Yagodin - Dorogusk checkpoint, 88 of them at Yagodin thousand. During the same period, more than 38 thousand drivers have already been registered in the system.
