The number of violations of dimensional and weight norms on roads has decreased 7 times, - "Ukrtransbezpeka"

Ukrtransbezpeka reported that the number of violators of dimensional and weight norms had decreased 7 times during the month of control.

It is noted that last week inspectors of the State Transport Safety Service of Ukraine at the dimensional and weight control post (PEC) near the checkpoint "Mayaki-Udobne" (highway M-15 Odesa-Reni) weighed 4078 vehicles.

"As a result of control measures, 49 acts were drawn up. That is, 1.2% of the total number of inspected vehicles were moving in violation of dimensional and weight norms," the statement reads.

On May 3, for the first 12 hours of the Mayaki-Udobne post, 280 vehicles were weighed and 19 acts on violation of dimensional and weight norms were drawn up (6.8% of inspected vehicles were moving in violation of dimensional and weight norms).

"Thus, during the month of control measures, the number of violations decreased by 7 times," the agency concluded.

It will be recalled that on May 3, Ukrtransbezpeka resumed control over compliance with dimensional and weight norms, as vehicle monitoring carried out by the Ukrtransbezpeky Department of State Supervision (Control) in April revealed systematic non-compliance with dimensional and weight norms by carriers, which negatively affects pavement and roads.
