On February 20, Polish farmers plan to completely block all checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

As the trade union reported, on February 9, "Solidarity" announced a 30-day general strike of farmers, which has "unprecedented support of the entire agrarian community and society."

Polish farmers emphasize that "this is only the beginning of a long road to victory", they emphasize that based on the collected materials from the previous protest, the conclusion is clear: "The problem of the profitability of agricultural production, processing and other industries in Poland is the uncontrolled influx of goods from Ukraine that are imported through the opening of the EU border with this country."

It is noted that during the protest, not only border points will be blocked, but also communication hubs and entrances to railway stations where loading is carried out.

The Polish agrarian "Solidarity" also called on the Polish society to support the farmers, because their protest aims to guarantee the country's food security.

As you know, on February 9, Polish farmers began blocking several checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border. According to the organizers of the strike from the independent farmers' trade union "Solidarity", the blocking of roads near the checkpoints will continue for a month, until March 10.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, Czeslaw Sekerski, apologized for Ukrainian grain scattered by Polish farmers on the border, noting that they did it emotionally, being in a difficult economic situation.
