In the direction of the Izmail port, the number of wagons with grain for unloading is increasing again: as of June 26, the queue reached 2,223 wagons. This was reported by Valery Tkachov, deputy director of the commercial department of Ukrzaliznytsia, Rail.insider reports.

Over the past week, the queue for unloading at the Izmail station increased by 259 cars, or by 13.2%.

Over the previous day, 114 wagons with grain were unloaded at the port. At such loading rates, the waiting time reaches 19.5 days. At the same time, the average daily unloading in June is 75 wagons with grain.

The loading towards the port is planned taking into account the processing capacity of the receivers/operators, but due to weather conditions, the operators unload significantly less than the planned volume. In general, more than 6,000 wagons with cargo of various nomenclature are moving in the direction of the Izmail port," said the representative of Ukrzaliznytsia.

At the same time, unloading in the ports of Great Odesa decreased sharply. As of June 26, 1,226 wagons with grain loads were moving in their direction. During the previous day, 118 wagons with grain were unloaded in the ports. At the same time, the average daily unloading for June reaches 422 wagons with grain.

The rate of daily unloading of wagons with grain in the ports of Greater Odessa fluctuates in the range of 118-400 wagons per day and has significantly decreased due to the lack of volumes. "For the period from June 19 to 26, the number of wagons heading to the ports decreased by 327 wagons, or 21%," informed Tkachev.

He also specified that the work of the grain corridor in the Black Sea is currently difficult to predict, because the aggressor country constantly changes the number of inspections of vessels and puts forward various demands.

Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia announced plans to improve the capacity of the Izmail station. At the station, two more tracks of the sorting park will be completed, the mouth will be widened, and extraction track No. 13 will be built, which will make it possible to work on the supply to the port separately from the supply to the approach track of "Nibulon", which will also increase processing.
