The queue of railway cars with grain cargoes in the direction of the port of Izmail increased by 274 units, or by 12%, to 2,534 cars during the period from July 19 to 24. Valeriy Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of Ukrzaliznytsia, reported this.
According to him, 64 wagons with grain were unloaded at the port on July 24. At the same time, the average daily unloading for June reaches 103 wagons with grain.
The situation in the port of Izmail remains difficult due to a significant accumulation of wagons. The loading towards the port is planned taking into account the processing capacity of the receivers/operators, but due to weather conditions, the operators unload significantly less than the planned volume. In total, approximately 7,400 wagons with cargo of various nomenclature are moving in the direction of the Izmail port," Tkachev wrote in Telegram.
At the same time, the accumulation in the direction of the ports of Great Odesa decreased to 109 wagons with grain as of July 24. During the previous day, not a single wagon with grain was unloaded in the ports, and the average daily rate in July decreased to 110 wagons.
The work of the "grain corridor" in the ports of Greater Odessa has actually stopped. The aggressor country withdrew from the "grain agreement" and has been launching missile strikes on the port infrastructure of Odesa, Chornomorsk, Mykolaiv, and Ochakov for the past week. Several port terminals were significantly damaged," Tkachev noted.
