Ukraine and the EU will sign a special agreement on transport liberalization

On June 29, in the French town of Lyon, as part of the meeting of the Directorate for Transport of the European Commission Connecting Europe Days 2022, a special Agreement on Transport Liberalization between Ukraine and the European Union will be signed, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mustafa Nayem said.

"Most people do not even suspect the scale of this event for Ukrainian carriers. Taking into account the almost fivefold increase in road transport, already in September of this year, due to the lack of road permits, the export of Ukrainian goods to at least two neighboring countries could stop. This is hundreds of millions of dollars in monthly losses, and more billion - according to the results of the year," he said.

According to the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, this agreement will save millions of European consumers from shortages and rising prices for Ukrainian goods, as well as a large number of European companies whose offices and production bases continue to operate in Ukraine, and which could be left without the opportunity to export their products.

The Special Agreement on Transport Liberalization between Ukraine and the European Union will be signed by Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov and European Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean.
