Ukraine opens two new checkpoints on the border with Romania

Such a step was necessary given the traffic flows and the movement of people through checkpoints due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an order to open two checkpoints on the border with Romania: Dyakovtsy and Krasnoilsk.

It is noted that such a step was necessary given the traffic flows and the numerical movement of people through checkpoints due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The approved order, in particular, provides that after the State Customs Service and the State Border Service ensure the work of the relevant units, the checkpoints will again operate as follows:

point "Dyakovtsy" - for pedestrian and automobile communication (including buses), except for cargo, with a constant mode of operation and round-the-clock work;

point "Krasnoilsk" - for pedestrian and automobile traffic (up to 3.5 tons), except for cargo, with a constant mode of operation and working hours from 8 to 20 hours.

"The opening of new checkpoints and control points on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border will create favorable conditions for reducing the load on the existing checkpoints in the Chernivtsi and Transcarpathian regions under martial law," the Ministry of Finance noted.
