Ukrzaliznytsia partially reviewed the conditions for conducting auctions for the use of grain trucks: increased the load limits of wagons and changed the deadline for placing electronic bids.
This information was made public by the deputy director of the department of commercial work of UZ Valery Tkachev.
The limit of the daily load of UZ grain trucks was increased to 300 wagon shipments per day. The horizon for providing grain trucks based on the results of auctions has also been increased - until January 31, 2024.
A new condition has been introduced for the winners of the auctions - placing electronic applications (ELZ) for the supply of grain trucks to the TSL branch within 7 days after the end of the auction. According to Valery Tkachev, this measure will partially limit the participation of intermediaries in auctions and reduce the possible speculative warming of the market for the use of wagons.
"Ukrzaliznytsia JSC is waiting for proposals from participants of the grain market to conclude long-term contracts (6-12 months) for the use of grain wagons of the CTL branch, which will eliminate seasonal fluctuations in the cost of using wagons," Valery Tkachev said.
He added that the other proposals discussed at the meeting with the market participants are being processed by the specialists of the CTL branch and the commercial work department of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".
