The government continues to actively implement a comprehensive customs reform road map

The Ministry of Infrastructure will soon present a project of an electronic queue at the border. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"We are moving towards a digital state with the most convenient services for people and businesses, and therefore this issue cannot and will not be postponed any longer," the head of the Government emphasized.

The Prime Minister noted that customs changes are one of the biggest requests among the population and businesses over the past 30 years. According to him, even before the large-scale Russian invasion, the Government formed a comprehensive road map for customs reformand now continues its active implementation. Among the steps in this direction are the expansion of checkpoints within the framework of the "Open Border" project and the creation of modern service areas near the border for trucks and their drivers.

"Today, at the border crossing point "Krakivets-Korchova", we are launching a completely new bus terminal, which will be able to handle 30 buses per day. We do everything to make the border crossing comfortable and convenient," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister also reminded that on August 15, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the government draft law on changes to the Customs Code, which bring Ukrainian customs legislation as close as possible to the legislation of the European Union, effectively paving the way for the signing of the "customs visa waiver". In addition, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Customs Service have been instructed to intensify the process of negotiations regarding the opening of common border crossing points with the EU.

Denys Shmyhal also reported that back in June, the Government submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on customs clearance of cars through Diya. Filling out the form will take up to 10 minutes, after which you can proceed to payment immediately.

"People are waiting for these changes. Fast customs clearance is not the only innovation of this bill. We also eliminate the human factor in determining the rates at which customs clearance takes place. That is, all possible schemes with underestimation of the cost, forged invoices, non-existent damages - all this must disappear once and for all," the Prime Minister emphasized.
